Institut Fresnel

Institut Fresnel (Marseille) is a research laboratory founded in 2000 by Claude Amra, Daniel Maystre and Philippe Réfrégier, that is based in Marseille and has 80 permanent staff working in 13 teams, with research interests ranging from computational electromagnetics, theory of signal processing, and inverse problems, to experiments in biophotonics, rough surfaces and microwaves. The institute also has 10 administrative staff and 70 PhDs and Postdocs. It has three affiliations being Aix-Marseille Université, CNRS and Centrale Marseille. S. GUENNEAU works in the team EPSILON that has renowned expertise in acoustic and optical metamaterials, and notably in invisibility cloaks (WP4).
